The workplace has always been known as a challenge to navigate. Personalities (in other words, people) are the underlying cause of this strife, and each day we are responsible for getting the work done, while jumping through hoops to maneuver through the situations around us.
This is through the perspective of the office environment – the stereotypical 9-5 job with cubicle farms and computer screens and water coolers where conversation allegedly takes place. At this point, these “office place” characteristics are becoming theoretical while many are able to work remotely, but the politics and the people still persist. And a lot of these lessons can be applied in other interpersonal interactions outside of work – for example, we can all hope to become better communicators in every aspect of our lives.
Through this, I hope to provide insights and coaching on how to be the best version of yourself at work – and in other aspects of your life too. You don’t need to subscribe to office jargon and office politics to become the manager and leader you want to be. I believe you can use your strengths, be yourself, and go into any situation with the tools and skills you need to succeed.
